How this works
Looks up the minimum copper protective earthing conductor for the active conductor size and material in AS/NZS 3000:2018 Table 5.1. The table has no values for aluminium actives smaller than 16 mm².
Sizes marked * may be used only where the earthing conductor is part of a multi-core cable or flexible cord, other than a lift travelling cable (Clause 5.3.3.4). A larger conductor may be needed to meet the fault requirements of Clause 5.3.3.1.1.
