Guest calculators
You can use the calculators without an account. In that mode we typically process:
- Essential cookies and server logs needed to run and secure the site
- Optional analytics (PostHog) and browser performance monitoring only if you accept non-essential cookies; minimal error diagnostics (Sentry) support service reliability with customer content removed
- Email address (and optional name) if you join the new-calculator notify list (double opt-in; you can unsubscribe)
- Email address if you ask us to email a watermarked PDF of a calculation
- Consent records when you accept cookies or accept Terms for a calculator download or email
- Third-party advertisements (e.g. Google AdSense) on calculator pages when advertising is enabled
Server logs
Routine web logs contain timestamps, classified routes, request identifiers, response status, size and timing. They exclude query strings, request bodies, credentials and full browser headers. Security events may retain a source IP and coarse browser family locally for up to seven days, subject to volume limits. Central security summaries replace visitor IPs with per-host daily keyed tags and are retained for 30 days. Administrative access and configuration-change records are retained for up to 30 days. A protected pre-change evidence archive is held locally for 30 days during this logging rollout. We use these records for abuse prevention and incident investigation, not advertising or cross-site identification.
